Buildings Insurance

£1million as standard

Includes your walls, roof, windows and anything else that forms part of the structure of your home, such as fixtures and fittings like your kitchen and bathroom.

Cover for garages, outbuildings and other structures, such as drives and patios.

Contents Insurance

Up to £60k as standard

Contents are the items in your home that could be taken with you if you moved house including furniture, carpets, laptops and clothing.

We'll pay to repair or replace the contents of your home if they're lost, stolen or damaged by something covered by your policy, for example, a flood or fire.

2 Emergency cover for the cost of repairs, parts and call out charges for:

  • Plumbing and drainage.

3 Cover for alternative accommodation for your family and pets if the home is uninhabitable as a result of the emergency.

  • Up to £50,000 of cover as standard.
  • No excess.
  • Covers the costs of taking or defending legal action for:
    • Personal injury, including clinical negligence.
    • Consumer protection.
    • Residential.
    • Employment.
    • Tax (Full HMRC inquiries).
  • £2,000 minimum cover or increase up to £15,000 if you need.
  • Covers items such as jewellery, watches, medals, money, credit cards and sports equipment. More details4.
  • Includes cover for money in and away from home up to £1,000.
  • Accidental damage and loss included as standard.

4 Cover for your Contents inside and outside the home anywhere in the British Isles and worldwide up to 90 days. Items such as mobile phones, laptops, jewellery, watches, money, clothing, glasses, wheelchairs, mobility scooters and cameras.
Single item limit £2,000. Any individual item over £2,000 needs to be specified on the policy.

  • Single item limit of £750 per bicycle.
  • Items over £750 need to be specified when you take out the policy.
  • Covers accidental loss or damage to your (or your family’s) bicycles inside and outside the home anywhere in the world for up to 90 days.
  • If a damaged item is part of a matching set and we can’t repair or replace it (with an item of the same colour, make, model, material and size), we’ll pay the cost of replacing the whole matching set.

Authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority. We do not ask you to pay a fee but we receive a commission from RSA which is a percentage of the total annual premium paid by you each year. We may also receive a share of the profit from the policies which we sell, if RSA calculates that a profit has been made.

In periods when properties have been impacted by storms, and we are experiencing high call volumes, you can notify us of a claim by completing the RSA New Claim Notification Form and returning it to rapid.hhclaims@uk.rsagroup.com.
